Are you passionate about ensuring every California student receives high-quality civic education? We are! Apply to our2024 iCivics Teacher Facilitator Fellowship and develop the skills to work with teachers and students in your community. Participants will receive a $2,100 stipend upon fulfilling fellowship obligations.
What is the Teacher Facilitator Fellow Program?
Using a train-the-trainer model, fellows in this paid program will work collaboratively with iCivics, other content and pedagogical experts, and each other to strengthen civic education content, pedagogy, and facilitation skills.
During the program, fellows will:
Attend a kick-off event in late fall
Participate in monthly professional learning through webinars, coursework, and an in-person Adult Facilitation Bootcamp from iCivics staff and guest presenters
Attend a statewide convening in Summer 2025
Become a certified iCivics Teacher Facilitator
Do you qualify?
5th–12th grade social studies or civics teacher in California
Interested in being a teacher-leader and facilitating social studies and civics professional development in your district, county, or state
Interested in joining a community of practice that transforms social studies and civics teaching and learning
