National Forum Livestream

The Civic Learning Week National Forum serves as an anchor for Civic Learning Week (March 9–13), a week-long, high-profile celebration of civic learning, engagement, and leadership. In anticipation of the nation’s semiquincentennial, this year’s theme is Liberty and Learning: Civic Education at 250.

While we have reached capacity for the in-person event, we invite you to join us for the National Forum livestream. Tune in March 9 and 10 to explore how educators, policymakers, researchers, academics, and private- and public-sector leaders are energizing the movement to advance high-quality civic education nationwide.

Livestream participants will be able to watch panel discussions and engage in real time during audience Q&A. Some of the featured panels include:

• Leadership for Liberty and 21st-century Learning: State chiefs of education from red and blue states will discuss the importance of civic learning and what that looks like in the classroom.
• Student Perspectives on Liberty and Learning: Hear directly from students nearing graduation on the cusp of the 250th as they reflect on what liberty and learning mean for them and the importance of civic learning for this generation.
• Liberty and Learning in a Pluralistic Society: Thought leaders working to rebuild civic learning infrastructure will explore how revitalizing civic learning around the value of pluralism can strengthen America’s constitutional democracy for the next 250 years.

This event will not be livestreamed, but a recording will be available for viewing beginning March 11.

The Civic Learning Week National Forum is one of two marquee spring events on civic learning being held in Philadelphia during the 250th anniversary year of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The National Summit on Civic Education, hosted by the Jack Miller Center, will take place May 18–19, 2026.
